Randstad is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our dynamic team, working with children aged 5-11 in the Barnsley area. This day-to-day position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact starting in September 2024.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of primary school children.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, providing support and encouragement to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum plans.
  • Assess student progress regularly, using a variety of methods to inform instruction and support individual learning needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching primary school children, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children.
