Accounts Assistant

Our client, a non-profit organisation who pride themselves on their company values and services, are currently looking for an experienced individual to join their accounts team on a contract basis - likely duration 9 - 12 months. This will be a full time position based from their welcoming offices in Tewkesbury.

They are a massively supportive company, therefore, training and support will be provided. To be considered for this position you must have experience of Sales and/or Purchase Ledger. You will be someone who thrives in a busy environment and is used to high volume data entry.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Ledger Processing
  • Purchase Ledger Processing
  • Fortnightly Payment Runs
  • Credit Control in line with our credit control process
  • Stock Control
  • Direct Debit Processing
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Management of email inboxes
  • To prioritise tasks to ensure daily, weekly and monthly deadlines are met
  • Support others internally and externally in delivering the aims of the organisation

Candidate Attributes:

  • Previous experience in Sales and/or Purchase Ledger
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good people skills and an ability to work within a team.
  • Good time management with the ability to prioritise your workload and work well under pressure
  • Confident using Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and use a bespoke database

Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
