Plasterer

As a domestic plasterer, you will be responsible for carrying out plastering works across our residential properties. This includes repairing damaged walls and ceilings, applying plaster coatings, and ensuring a high standard of finish. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and aesthetics of our housing units, enhancing their overall livability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform plastering repairs and installations in domestic properties owned by the local authority.
  • Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning and smoothing them.
  • Apply coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair cracks, holes, and other damage to existing plasterwork.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines while adhering to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken, materials used, and time spent on each project.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a plasterer, preferably in a domestic setting.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in the trade.
  • Proficiency in plastering techniques, including skimming, rendering, and patching.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid UK driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
