Primary Supply Teacher - MRE

Posted by Aspire People Limited.

Fancy a better work/life balance. More time with the family or to work on that book you always said you'd write but never have or that D.I.Y project that's just sat that their for the last two years or setting up that dream business you've always wanted to do. Thinking of taking the leap into the wonderful world of supply? That's where I am here to help.

My name is Mark and having previously been a teacher myself in primary, secondary and SEN schools I know how the role can become all consuming. Now in my role in education recruitment I have been able to build up a large mass of primary and SEN schools that I work with who are looking for long term, short term and daily supply.

Working as a supply teacher offers several benefits, including:

Flexibility: Supply teachers often have the flexibility to choose when and where they work. This can be ideal for individuals seeking a better work-life balance or those with other commitments.

Variety: Supply teachers get the opportunity to work in different schools, with different age groups, and in various subjects. This variety can keep the job interesting and help build a broad range of teaching experiences.

Experience and Skill Development: Working in different educational settings allows supply teachers to gain a wealth of experience. They develop adaptability, classroom management skills, and the ability to teach various curricula, which can enhance their overall teaching skills.

Networking Opportunities: Supply teachers have the chance to meet and work with a wide range of educators and administrators. This networking can lead to permanent job opportunities or other professional advancements.

Less Administrative Work: Compared to full-time teachers, supply teachers typically have fewer administrative responsibilities, such as grading, planning long-term lessons, or attending numerous meetings.

Opportunity to Test Different Environments: Supply teaching allows educators to experience different school environments and cultures. This can help them decide what type of school they prefer to work in permanently.

Supplemental Income: For those who are retired, semi-retired, or have another primary job, supply teaching can provide a supplemental source of income without the commitment of a full-time position.

Personal Growth: Adapting to new classrooms and students regularly can be challenging, but it also fosters personal growth and resilience. Supply teachers often develop strong problem-solving and quick-thinking abilities.

Independence: Supply teachers often have the autonomy to decide how they approach the lesson plans provided, giving them a chance to infuse their teaching style and creativity into the classroom.

Exposure to Different Teaching Methods: By working in various schools, supply teachers can observe and learn different teaching methods and strategies, which can be beneficial if they choose to pursue a full-time teaching career.
