Your new role
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in maximising the organization's return on investment in enterprise software and business applications. You will serve as a liaison between various departments and service providers, primarily collaborating with Super Users or Managers to enhance, simplify, or modify processes.
You will develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations and the software used in the enterprise, driving the continuous improvement and simplification of business processes.
Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of software solutions. The focus will shift from large in-house applications to configuring third-party applications, developing integration solutions, and creating small applications that support human workflows.
Lastly, you will play a key role in managing global business processes as they relate to ERP systems and their interfaces. This role is instrumental in the governance of worldwide business processes.
What you'll need to succeed
Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Analysing business needs and identifying problems.
  • Gathering, defining, and documenting business requirements.
  • Documenting and mapping business processes.
  • Ensuring proposed solutions or changes align with existing or changed worldwide process flow.
  • Proposing solutions to business problems and simplifying business processes by leading and participating in projects.
  • Contributing to the simplification of Enterprise Application Architecture.
  • Providing support for a range of business applications, which may include documentation and training.
  • Performing data analysis and data aggregation using BI and other data analysis tools.
  • Evaluating vendors and new products as needed.
  • Advising and occasionally training super users and managers on process flow and detail.
  • Managing projects to deliver the above or assisting in the management of larger programmes or projects.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also:

  • Write use cases and requirement specifications.
  • Write test cases and perform software testing.
  • Contribute to the definition, documentation, and ongoing improvement of IT internal workflows and processes.
  • Help enforce policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering or a related field.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong abilities to visualise information and processes.
  • Working knowledge of BI and other data analysis tools.
  • Thorough understanding of general Business Processes & Workflow.
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, judgement, and communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, as a team member, and as a team leader.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, project leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to form effective working relationships at all levels within the organisation.
  • Capacity and ability to adapt to developing and fast-moving programmes/projects.
