Claims Handler

To effectively & efficiently handle insurance claims or building repairs from instruction until completion of the works ensuring that all parties involved are fully informed on progress of the claim and ensuring that the costs of the claim are controlled.

Duties:

  • Claim Opening: Manage the initial notification of secondary loss claims.
  • Supplier Allocation: Assign appropriate suppliers to handle claims.
  • Call Handling: Manage inbound and outbound calls effectively.
  • Customer Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for customers.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between customers and insurers.
  • Service Level Adherence: Ensure all claims adhere to established service level agreements.
  • Claim Authorization: Authorize property insurance claims.
  • Cost Control: Apply effective cost control measures.
  • Job Updates: Maintain job records by updating information in Pulse.
  • Complaint Handling: Address low-level complaints in accordance with the Complaints Handling Manual.
  • Data Compliance: Ensure responsible handling of data in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Supply Chain Compliance: Maintain compliance within the supply chain.
  • Database Administration: Manage the supply chain database.
