£43,568 + Excellent Benefits

High Wycombe / hybrid working (2 days in the office & 3 working from home)

Full Time - 5 days and 37 hours p/w with some flexibility over start and finish times

The role:

To assist the Management Accountant in the provision of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for use by the Business Partnering team as well as improvements to current reports and processes. To assist the Financial Accounting team with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Under the direction of the Management Accountant (MA) ensuring management accounting is kept up to date
  • Under the direction of the MA ensuring that the monthly and quarterly reports are properly prepared and monthly financial statements are produced in a timely fashion
  • Act as a driver of Value for Money across the organisation
  • Complete monthly journals with proper supporting relating to own area of responsibility
  • Assist in the monthly production of management accounts updated and accurate
  • Assist in the annual production of financial statements supporting the Financial Accounting team with reconciliation and schedules for the external auditors
  • Prepare full cycle of HOME foundation transactions
  • Involve in process improvement after system implementation
  • Monitor and correct all of the transactions coded properly including purchase order accrual
  • Undertake any other ad hoc reasonable duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Possess applied experience in management accounting and able to demonstrate strong technical competence and experience in all aspects of financial and management reports including the preparation of forecast and budget.
  • Partial qualified of professional body (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA) and actively pursuing full qualifications.
  • Strong technical skills i.e. advanced excel skill and strong analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of current accounting practices and best practice standards within the sector
  • Experience in using SUN system and Q&A preferred
  • Experience in the social housing sector preferred
