Are you looking for a one-term contract? Hays have partnered with a school in Hackney to recruit a Year 4 Class Teacher for the Autumn term. Your role as a Year 4 Class Teacher
As a Year 4 Class Teacher, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with school policy.
  • Teaching from planned objectives, which take account of differentiation to achieve progression in pupil's learning, setting clear targets for pupils' learning based on prior attainment.
  • Set, mark, and monitor the pupils' assigned work, including homework.
  • Fulfil the school's and national assessment, recording and reporting system as appropriate.
  • Manage, with support, the work of Learning Support Assistants and other helpers in class to enhance children's learning.
  • Take part fully in primary school duties such as supervising playtimes, taking whole school assemblies and class assemblies.

What you will need for the Year 4 Class Teacher Job

  • Have qualified teacher status
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience in the Primary and/or Foundation Stage, in post or on placement, and the potential to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice
  • An understanding of managing planning, assessment and record keeping, and how this affects optimal pupil progress
  • Commitment to raising standards of attainment and equal opportunities across the school
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
