We are supporting their recruitment for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full time, permanent contract. This is a company who can offer security, stability and great career progression opportunities.
Salary on offer is up to £32K pending relevant experience. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
To be considered we are looking for a candidate with an AAT qualification, with at least 2-3 years bookkeeping experience.
Bookkeeper main duties:
- Data entry: recording financial transactions and balancing the accounts
- Bank reconciliations: cross-referencing the accounts against bank statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy
- Monthly reporting: summarising the business's financial position
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts Payable
- End of year reporting: assisting with annual profit and loss and balance sheet reports.
- Business Strategy: creating budgets and forecasting and advising on how to improve the business.
- Journal entries
- Checking that VAT coding and account allocating are correct to ensure we pay the
- correct amount of VAT
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation via Xero, as well as Xero add-ons such as DEXT.
Bookkeeper required skills and experience:
- Have a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience.
- AAT certified/or working towards a professional accounting diploma
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
