Are you a Compliance Champion?

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a drive to safeguard against risk? Thrive in a dynamic environment where you can leverage your analytical and investigative skills? If you answered yes, then this senior compliance analyst role is the perfect opportunity for you to make a real impact!

In this crucial role, you'll partner directly with the Corporate Compliance Manager to identify and mitigate critical business and corporate compliance risks across the Group. You'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing effective compliance policies, processes, and procedures.

Here's what a typical day might look like for you:

  • Craft and Refine Compliance Strategies: Collaborate with the Corporate Compliance Manager and General Counsel to build and enhance compliance policies and procedures. Streamline resource allocation by recommending improvements and documenting processes thoroughly. Explore automation opportunities for greater efficiency.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor the evolving legal and regulatory landscape, particularly regarding new or amended laws. Proactively adapt procedures and controls to address these changes, minimizing risk for the Group and stakeholders.
  • Become a Compliance Champion: Educate, influence, and train key personnel on crucial compliance requirements and potential risks. Foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation: Assist with internal and external audits, identifying, prioritizing, and formulating response plans for any risks unearthed. Track and oversee remediation efforts.
  • Third-Party Due Diligence: Provide timely support during counterparty and supplier due diligence reviews (KYC/AML checks). Collaborate with front-office personnel for counterparty approval in proposed transactions.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Implement efficient compliance monitoring activities and co-develop new compliance metrics. This ensures comprehensive identification, evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of business and corporate compliance risk exposures.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a university degree (compliance/professional qualification a plus).
  • Boasts at least 5 years of experience in a corporate compliance role.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of core corporate compliance regimes, including but not limited to: UK Anti-Bribery, Corporate Criminal Offence, Export Control, Sanctions, GDPR, and Human Rights/Modern Slavery Act legislation.
  • Experience in the energy/nuclear energy sector or a multinational company is a plus.
