Listed FMCG business with a global presence is looking for a Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join them on a 6 month contract till the end of December.
This position needs someone to start immediately or on short notice, and will pay up to £450PD depending on experience.
The Role:
- Compile consolidated financial information for the Annual Report, half-year and full-year press releases, and Audit Committee papers, incorporating analysis and insights. Collaborate closely with other Head Office teams as needed.
- Ensure the Group's external financial disclosures are accurate and compliant with financial reporting standards and applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage financial processes and controls according to documented Risk and Control Matrices (RACM) and the Key Financial Controls framework.
- Prepare analysis for Group external reporting and accounting matters, including non-underlying items, profit quality, reserves, central adjustments, and re classifications.
- Conduct analysis for specialised Group accounting areas, including goodwill/intangible asset impairment testing and M&A transactions, and prepare supporting accounting papers as necessary.
- Facilitate the external audit process for the Group at half-year and year-end, ensuring audit deliverable are provided on schedule and audit issues are resolved promptly.
- Prepare regional and country balance sheet analysis and briefing papers to identify risks to the Group's balance sheet and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA)
- Audit background is preferred
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to manipulate/review large quantities of data.
- Available on short notice (will wait up to 2 weeks)
