Team Leader - Chocolate Making

Posted by Red 5 People Ltd.

This charity helps young people develop work skills by offering monthly placement sessions in their chocolate studio. Over half the employees are on the autism spectrum. They partner with local schools to provide an accessible educational venue, encouraging personal, social, and emotional development through activities. You will oversee their chocolate operations (and get to learn how to make incredible chocolate!).

The chocolate factory is a commercial success with high demand from local businesses. It's a busy operation, to say the least! You will be overseeing the team and production operations:

  • Oversee and coordinate youth work experience placements
  • Coordinate the team of chocolatiers each day in terms of orders and production
  • Order supplies for the project
  • Be hands-on, working with the team to produce chocolate and help with packaging
  • Occasionally deliver orders and liaise with customers

To apply, you ideally have some supervisory experience in a related field such as hospitality, warehousing, or catering. Experience with autism is not essential (but useful), but a willingness to work with this client group is desired.

Please apply via this advert – we aim to get back to everyone. If, by chance, you have not heard anything, please complete the 'Send Us a Message' form on the Contact Us page on the Red 5 People website, and we guarantee a human will contact you. Alternatively, feel free to call the office and ask for Lawrence (number on the Red 5 People website).

Please note this is a full-time role, and a driver is required. Hours can be either 8 am – 4 pm or 9 am – 5 pm.

You might have previously worked as a catering team leader, warehouse manager, production manager, hospitality team leader or manager, restaurant manager, chef or similar.
