Relief Support for Learning Practitioner - Care and Education

As part of our Residential Care & Education Service, Erskine Waterfront Campus in Erskine provides children and young people who have faced challenges and barriers to their learning with a safe, supportive and high quality alternative to mainstream education. Our relational approach, following attachment informed principles, provides a nurturing and caring learning environment that enables pupils to reach their potential. We have a strong focus on experiential learning with the aim of ‘giving children back their childhood', strengthening resilience and supporting active participation in their communities.

As a relief Support for Learning Practitioner, your primary role is to transport 1 to 2 pupils maximum from home to school and back, a valid driving licence is therefore essential, But you will also providing additional emotional support for pupils during the school day, as a secondary function to school transport.

As this is a relief post, working across term time only, you will be able to work around other commitments, whilst still making a vital contribution to the work we do..

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
