We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is perfect for individuals who have a genuine desire to support students with special educational needs, including conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and Anxiety, helping them to achieve their full potential.
The school is a through school supporting children from the ages of 5 -19.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored one-on-one or small group support to enhance student learning.
- Assist in the delivery and implementation of EHCPs and behaviour management strategies.
- Adapt educational materials to meet the individual needs of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and document student progress, offering valuable feedback to educators and families.
- Support classroom management and maintain an organised learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND, is highly valued.
- Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning or SEND support are advantageous.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a dedicated passion for educational support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A firm commitment to child safeguarding principles.
