Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a furniture manufacturing business based in the Leeds area who are recruiting a BI Developer to join their team. The role reports into the BI + Apps Manager and will focus on challenging new and existing business processes / reporting to strengthen the quality of information delivered across the company. This is an office based role with some blended in work from home opportunity.
The role will suit someone who loves data, is process driven and has a keen eye for detail and design. Using BI to drive a data first culture. Eager to learn and drive data adoption through sustainable reports, dashboards, and visualisations to add value. The main duties and responsibilities are:
- Develop, maintain and manage new and existing reporting solutions, alongside a team of IT specialists.
- Outstanding level of communication to help both technical and non technical users understand their requirements and fulfil requests that fit within the BI strategy.
- Help maintain the hybrid on-prem and cloud-based data warehouse.
- Support both BI and Applications, assess user requests and provide company aligned solutions.
- Support company process improvements to enhance data quality.
- Design dashboards and visualisations, with a strong UX design using SQL, DAX and Power BI.
To be considered as a suitable candidate for this role we are looking for as much as the below to be shown in a CV profile across Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to degree level (preferably in a technical field) or equivalent qualifications and Data Analytics / Development experience.
- Experienced with digital design or dashboard design, knowledge of Power BI.
- Data warehousing experience with knowledge of ETL processes ideally showing an understanding of Understanding of Azure/Data Lakes or Blobs.
- Experience with the Power platforms/Power Apps/Power Automate.
