Are you a Rural Chartered Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career?

The growth of our office in Towcester, South Northamptonshire means that we are looking for a rural chartered surveyor looking to take on a varied role with a view to enhancing our reputation for the quality of service and building client relationships.

The role would be ideal for rural chartered surveyor with less than five years post qualification experience and we would consider recent graduates.

Berrys has an established and diverse client base in the rural economy and we provide advice to clients on;

  • strategic farm business
  • subsidies and grants
  • strategic land development
  • valuation advisory

A professional manner and business-minded attitude are the key attributes needed. The successful applicant will be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and Registered Valuer.

You will have the opportunity to become a key member of the rural advisory team with the potential to grow your own client relationships within the wider business. Whilst it is likely that specialisation will come in time initially, you will be involved in:

  • Advising landowners on maximising value of their land
  • Providing tenancy advice
  • Undertaking Property Valuations
  • Assisting in sales and lettings of, development land and rural property
  • Compensation claims, grants and subsides
  • Identifying new business opportunities and promoting the brand throughout the region

In practical terms, the applicant should;

  • be MRICS qualified
  • have a practical understanding of property, land, business and agriculture
  • be able to operate independently but also know when to refer to a senior colleague for advice
  • the ambitious and want to actively develop personal client relationships
  • Will be happy to be responsible for meeting targets and be capable of acting own initiative
  • an ability to express yourself clearly in written and verbal communication
  • a good understanding of standard IT packages-Word, Excel et cetera IT
  • have a driving licence and a vehicle with appropriate business insurance
