Within this Finance Assistant role in St.Ives you will:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monthly credit card statement reconciliations.
- Support monthly supplier payment procedures and produce/update supplier turnover and credit limits reports.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other adjusting journals, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Produce monthly management accounts (Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) and quarterly VAT returns.
- Maintain payroll operations: prepare, process, and report, including compliance with HMRC, NEST, and year-end returns.
- Resolve queries with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a timely manner and recommend departmental efficiency improvements.
