Security Consultant - SC Clearance
- Location: Bracknell - hybrid 3 days on site

We are seeking a Security Consultant to join our team and contribute to making the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. This role is crucial in ensuring that project solutions meet the strict requirements set by our customers, particularly within the Ministry of Defence or other Government environments.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide technical guidance to both customers and team members, creating secure solutions that meet customer needs.
- Determine necessary security controls in collaboration with network and infrastructure architects, ensuring solutions incorporate appropriate controls for identified security tiers and threats.
- Work with suppliers to select appropriate products and obtain quotes based on required volumes.
- Lead security aspects of bids, from understanding requirements to developing security architecture and negotiating with clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cyber security, particularly within the Ministry of Defence or a Government environment.
- Strong understanding of the Government Classification Scheme.
- Experience with HMG Information Assurance Standard 1&2, ISO27005, NIST 800-30, and applying security controls using frameworks like ISO 27k, NIST 800-53, CIS.
- Ability to lead security negotiations and engage effectively with clients.
- Experience in through-life security management, including patch and vulnerability management, authorisation and authentication, protective monitoring, incident management, malware, and boundary protection.
- Familiarity with JSP 604 Network Joining process and responding to security questions in bids.
- Ability to estimate security resources for bid submissions and lead security negotiation/engagement sessions with clients.
