18 Month Fixed Term Contract

Full Time - Hybrid, On-site as needed - London or Manchester based

Up to £70,000 + £3.5K car allowance + eligible for up to 10% bonus

This dynamic, public sector organisation within the health sector are unlike others in this field. With over site of all NHS facilities, this organisation is fast pace, forward thinking, collaborative and incredibly commercial in how they operate. Going through an exciting period of digital transformation, the People team are looking for a new Payroll Manager to support the team over the next 18 months. With hubs in London, and this specific team based in Manchester, they operate a very flexible hybrid working model, with some travel required to be on-site, as needed, a couple of times a month.

Supporting a team of 6, we are looking for a seasoned Payroll Manager, that has an in-depth understanding of payroll processes, UK labour laws and regulations related to variable pay, overtime, and colleague classification, payroll accounting principles and best practice, to ensure the effective end to end management of an approximate £10mill payroll monthly. This large, complex organisation operate nationally, with 80% of their diverse staffing groups in front line services, therefore experience in similar complex, service orientated organisations will be highly beneficial.

Sat within the People team, reporting to the Head of Reward, the successful individual must be able to hit the ground running with a strong understanding of complex payroll systems and technical understanding of configurations. Experience with iTrent / MHR would be advantageous but is not essential. Alongside these technical skills, they are similarly looking for a strong people leader. Someone that is curious, creative, collaborative. That enjoys developing their team. That thrives in fast pace environments and is looking to be involved in change and continue this teams strong, stable culture.
