WOW World Group are seeking a dynamic individual who can excite and engage little ones in Science and develop our flagship territory in Northampton for our award winning Mini Professors programme.

Mini Professors classes and workshops aim to inspire a new generation in schools, nurseries, parties, holiday camps and within the local community.

Mini Professors classes are super fun to run with engaging experiments that are fully interactive and encourage children to think about and explore the world around them. They allow children to touch, see, hear and understand.

This role is part time, 3 days per week for an initial 12 month period. There is potential that the hours may grow and contract extend beyond the initial 12 months.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage and inspire young children from the age of 2 in Science activities.

Sales and marketing skills are essential; being able to promote the business and market classes both face to face within your community and online through Social Media.

Communication and people skills are key to this role in order to make meaningful connections with children, parents, and staff.

You will work independently from home and around the Northampton area, so you will need to be happy working autonomously using your own initiative. You will receive excellent training and have the full support and guidance from Head Office.

Due to the nature of this role, an enhanced DBS will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a new territory for our award-winning Mini Professors programme.
  • Develop partnerships with schools, nurseries and local community businesses.
  • Market and promote the Programme's services to potential customers both online through Social Media and in the community.
  • Deliver science activities to young children and their parents/carers.
  • Expand services over time, starting with nurseries, private classes, parties, schools and latterly after school clubs and holiday camps.
  • Expand a team and recruit new Practitioners.

Skills and Experience:

  • Engaging and fun personality- confident to present to groups of children and their families
  • Sales skills to build relationships and market new classes to potential settings.
  • Experience working with young children in a hands-on role ideal or an interest in working with children.
  • An understanding of early childhood development helpful.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for science education (experience not necessary)
  • Appetite to grow a business.
  • A clean driving licence and access to a car is required
