I'm working with an emerging healthcare technology business at the forefront of revolutionizing medical data software. Their cutting-edge solutions are designed to empower users with seamless, real-time access to their health information through innovative hardware such as wearable watches, rings, and patches.
As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the hardware that complements our advanced medical data software. This includes conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping wearable devices that are not only functional but also user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
Your creativity will be encouraged; you will be responsible for bringing your products to life with the help of a supportive team. You will be working with cutting edge technology that will allow you to push boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hardware for wearable medical devices, including watches and rings
- Create detailed sketches and 3D models using automation tools.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.
- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in wearable healthcare devices.
- Prototype and test designs to ensure they meet usability, safety, and performance standards.
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Design Engineer, ideally within the healthcare or wearable technology industry.
- Proficiency in 3D automation tools and sketching software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative and creative design solutions.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex design challenges.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices is a plus.

The salary is £45,000 + benefits and the role is fully remote with team meet ups a few times a year.
