Freightserve are looking for an experienced Export Seafreight Operator. The company are a well established Freight Forwarder based in the Redditch area.
Duties:-
- Process and manage Export sea shipments
- Complete all relevant paperwork
- Complete HM Customs Export entries.
- Manage customer queries
- Arrange collection of freight with haulage companies
- Negotiate ad hoc rates with suppliers
- Invoice shipments
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/ Supervisor
Skills required for the role:-
- Previous Freight Forwarding Administrative experience
- Knowledge of Logistics and Transportation Market
- Working experience of Export Licensing requirements
- Financial awareness re: shipping process (cost, profit / loss, currencies)
- Educated to GCSE level, with grade 5 or above in Maths and English
- Proficient User of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
