Electrical Site Manager - Cambridge - Commercial Projects
One of the regions leading M&E Building Services companies, with a portfolio of blue-chip projects for clients across the East of England are currently recruiting for an Electrical Site Manager to work on projects up to the value of £5M across East Anglia and Essex.
They offer a comprehensive electrical and mechanical installation service across many sectors including Healthcare, Education, R&D and commercial projects.
As the Electrical Site Manager, you will be setting objectives and managing the quality of the installation by the site team, including sub-contractors and directly employed labour and show ability to liaise with Main Contractors.
As the Electrical Site Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Assign tasks to Electrical Charge hand/Foreman with supervisory responsibilities and other operatives under their direct control.
- Ensuring compliance with specification and contract documentation.
- Inspect, control and review progress of work by sub-contractors.
- Measure and record progress of work.
- Provide information of cost variation investigations.
- Forecast labour requirements.
- Organise, supervise and record testing and commissioning procedure and/or inspections throughout progress of project
- Attend Site/client meetings.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Have hands on ability- preferably Time Served / NVQ qualified.
- Computer literate individual who is able to order materials and basic plant via emails.
- Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods.
- Good people management and motivational skills.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
- Day to day problem solving and answering/ resolving any technical queries.
