Job Title: Finance Administrator

Salary: £26,500 - £28,000

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, office based

Location: Solihull

Description:

Working within a supportive team in a values driven organisation in central Solihull, you will be required to complete administration tasks for the Estates team, with a particular focus on finance administration. The successful candidate will be AAT Level 2 qualified and will have experience in a similar role.

Key Duties:

  • Assist Estates budget holders in monitoring their budgets and participate in monthly budget meetings.
  • Aid the Management Accounting Team in overseeing and claiming estates capital projects, including updating cost schedules.
  • Generate finance reports to review outstanding orders and commitments.
  • Issue purchase orders for approved expenditures, ensuring they are correctly coded, authorised, and comply with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with budget holders and the Procurement Team to ensure adherence to financial regulations, particularly regarding quotation and tender processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Estates budget holders, providing support for financial monitoring and query investigation, and coordinating with the organisation's Management Accounting Team and Procurement Team.
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end information to the finance department.
  • Understand the estates budget, ensure proper coding of expenditures, and communicate budget movements promptly with the Management Accounting Team.
  • Assist the Estates Admin Coordinator in maintaining an efficient Helpdesk, ensuring timely task completion.
  • Aid the Director of Estates in tracking and reporting the organisation's utilities usage.
  • Provide coverage for the Estates Admin Coordinator and estates office as needed.
  • Offer general administrative support

  • Fulfill necessary Health and Safety responsibilities and duties as required by the position.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • AAT Qualification (Level 2)
  • Minimum Level 2 English and Maths
  • Experience of finance administration including ordering, purchase ledger and budget management
  • Working in a busy administrative role, preparing reports, following up key actions
  • Experience working with a help desk / estate function
  • Experience of using computerised accounting packages

This is an excellent role for an experienced Finance Administrator to work within a busy team. In return you will receive between £26,500 to £28,000.
