Operations Administrator Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity for an administration apprentice to join our busy Operations team based at our head office in Pembridge, Herefordshire. This post is initially available on a full time, fixed term contract. On successful completion of the Apprenticeship there is the possibility of a permanent position, which will be discussed at the relevant time.

As our Operations Administrator Apprentice you will be completing the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship. The course is around 15-months training plus an end point assessment.

Responsibilities as our Operations Administrator Apprentice:

You will be providing administrative support to the Operations team by creating and generating management reports, updating site KPI's and trackers, raising and booking in purchase requisitions for the management team. You will be creating, distributing and tracking the monthly production team brief.

You will also be updating site visuals on Appspace for the rolling screens in the Production areas, and you will be auditing site systems and areas.

You will co-ordinate with management and team members to develop continuous improvement activities, and offer suggestions to changes in production methods/equipment used, for improvements to the quality of product and/or service to customer.

Skills and Qualities required:

  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade 4 or above is a requirement for this position.
  • Experience of working with various IT programs i.e. MS Word, Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Be a good team player with a "Can do attitude".
  • Able to act quickly when problems arise.

Other Important Information:

  • 39 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00. Friday: 08:30 - 16:00.
  • 30-minutes lunch break.
  • Ad hoc company training provided, plus additional self-teach material available for personal development.
