Community Care Worker

  • Job Type: Temporary (Tuesday-Friday, 09:00-14:00)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to provide essential support to a young lady attending college in Bromley. This role involves escorting her to her classes, staying with her for the duration, and participating in activities afterwards. The ideal candidate will ensure the service user's personal care, health, wellbeing, and choices are maintained, promoting independence and dignity.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Escort the service user to and from college, providing support during classes.
  • Engage in activities with the service user after class to promote social interaction and wellbeing.
  • Assist with personal and healthcare needs under professional supervision, following specific training.
  • Encourage self-care and support the service user in daily living activities both at home and in the community.
  • Assist with domestic tasks as required, including washing, ironing, cleaning, and shopping.
  • Maintain the overall wellbeing and safeguarding of the service user, reporting any concerns or changes.
  • Adhere to operational policies and procedures, maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Complete and forward all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in supervision, staff engagement, appraisals, and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the care profession, delivering person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic or Egyptian dialect (essential) and English.
  • Articulate with good reporting skills and a clear understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
  • Smart, professional appearance.
  • Good organisational skills.
