We have three openings in the firm's dedicated accounting function, who sit alongside the audit and tax teams, as Assistant Accounting Manager or Accounting Manager, depending on your experience.

As a senior member of the team your primary objective is to oversee the efficient service delivery to client portfolios, maintaining the firm's high level of standards and procedures.

You will be instrumental in helping the firm reach its strategic and commercial objectives, whilst developing the performance of your team. If you enjoy making a real impact, then this is the job for you, as these positions will be crucial in implementing change and cultivating continuous improvement.

These exceptional opportunities would suit an ambitious Assistant Accounting Manager looking to step up, or an experienced Accounting Manager ready for a fresh challenge.

Regular responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee group work programmes and monitor jobs awaiting completion.
  • Plan and budget assignments for partner agreement. Monitor progress and keep senior leaders informed of dev and any issues. Undertaking stringent review of completed projects for partner assessment.
  • Assist with billing, collection of fees and reduction of write-offs and job control diary systems.
  • Working with partners to ensure client accounting and tax compliance obligations are met as well as providing clients with timely and pro-active advice.
  • Assisting with detailed and more complex work on assignments when necessary
  • Maintain control of jobs and WIP within the office, ensuring job budgets are completed and compared to actual time including any variances are explained and recorded.
  • Identify new opportunities for the firm with existing clients, attract new clients, and build on your own network.

Although you will not have direct reports, your personnel accountabilities will include:

  • Maintain the high team standards, set SMART objectives, and continue to boost group morale.
  • Communicate effectively with partners, directors, and senior managers, addressing specific concerns and assisting in performance appraisals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

To be considered, you will need to hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent. It is essential that you have worked with a portfolio of clients including OMB's, have managed staff in some form, demonstrate a pride in providing only the highest levels of service with extreme accuracy, possess extremely efficient communication skills and have an aptitude for accounting software.
