The Accounts Assistant works directly with the Finance Manager, responsible for business accounting activities including invoice processing, bank reconciliations, credit control and assisting preparation of Management Accounts.

  • Purchase Invoice processing.
  • Credit control for multiple entities.
  • Weekly supplier payments.
  • Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Bank reconciliation for multiple companies.
  • Petty Cash Processing and reconciliation.
  • Raising sales invoices.
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Basic administration.

As the Accounts Assistant you will have gained office experience in an Accounts team, with this being an ideal next step having gained at least one year of hands-on experience. You will ideally have an Accounts focussed degree and/or be working towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar).

You will have exceptional communications skills, experience using accounting software systems (Sage50, Xero, Quickbooks etc.) and confident with data, delivering a high level of accuracy.
