Elevate projects are working in partnership with a valued client to appoint a Housing Advisor to join there Housing options and Homelessness team. Key responsibilities:
- Face to face working with customers.
- Day drop in for homeless, and offering telephone advice.
- Providing direct one-one advice
- Attend professional meetings
- Visit supported housing applicants
- Supporting applicants to work in partnership with multiple agencies
- Create personal housing plans for each applicant based on assessment.
Experience's and key skills required:
- A good understanding of homelessness legislation, including the homeless reduction act.
- A wider knowledge of social housing, welfare reform and local government.
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to manage complex and varied work load, in occasional demanding times.
- Great communication with applicant, landlords and professionals
- Ability to motivate applicants to take active steps to prevent their own homelessness or find alternative accommodation.
