Adept are currently working with a leading casting manufacturer based in Rotherham who supply into Aerospace, Nuclear and Oil & Gas looking to recruit an NDT Radiography Technician to join their team of experts.
The successful applicant must have a NDT L2 Qualification in radiography, L2 in dye penetrant is also desirable.
SALARY - £30,000 - £33,000 PLUS SHIFT ALLOWANCE

Duties & Responsibilities
- Routine control checks to validate the inspection process and verify equipment calibrations
- Keeping computerised inspection records and archiving paper records
- Evaluate the results and make accept / rejection decisions based on customer acceptance criteria
- Interpret specification and assist in production of NDT techniques for level III approval
- Assist in audits and ensure continued compliance with the company's NDT accreditations e.g., NADCAP and UKAS
- Non-destructive examination of castings by Radiography using x-rays to reveal internal discontinuities
- Operating computed radiography system utilising Phosphor Imagining Plates
- Load and unload film cassettes and process films, check radiographs against samples to ensure correct setup
- Carry out control checks, processor monitoring and verify equipment calibrations
- Restock darkroom cupboards and replenish processing solutions
- View and interpret radiographs produced in both in-house and externally by subcontractor and evaluate results in respect to customer acceptance.
