Project Manager

A leading high-end retailer is on the hunt for a Project Manager to support the delivery of their brand new office!

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager for a two-year fixed contract to lead the delivery of their new head office. This role, based fully on-site in Lytham St Anne's, Lancashire, requires an experienced professional with a strong background in construction project management.

What you'll be doing....

  • Oversee the complete project management of an office build, from initial brief to full completion, breaking down the project into actionable steps and setting achievable timeframes.
  • Liaise with architects, design agencies, and manage on-site contractors, conducting site surveys and scoping visits.
  • Manage project budgets, review project tenders with the partnering Quantity Surveyor, and support ongoing value engineering activities to reduce project costs.
  • Ensure the project meets building regulations and planning requirements with the support of our architect, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Analyse risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with the Lead Project Manager to manage progress and address any issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for project-related matters, communicate project status to all participants, support the team in procuring all necessary assets, monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures, and issue all appropriate legal paperwork, including contracts and terms of agreement.

What you'll need...

  • Proven passion for project management and delivery in the construction sector, with previous experience managing office build projects and completing projects valued over £2 million.
  • Formal qualification in building surveying or construction, along with a thorough understanding and practical application of current building regulations, CDM regulations, and local authority planning principles.
  • Strong project management skills to ensure efficient and timely project delivery, including managing large project budgets and working with external suppliers and creative designers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build strong relationships internally and externally, supported by proven stakeholder management experience and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, with additional experience in project management programs such as Microsoft Planner, Adobe, Sketch-up, and CAD.
  • Strong attention to detail, being an excellent team player, and having knowledge of BREEAM standards and Health and Safety training, preferably with an IOSH qualification.
