£16 - 20 p/h DOE - Overtime, Pension and Holidays

Due to continued expansion across the business, our client, a market leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking to enhance its Engineering team with the appointment of a Fabricator/Welder.

This role offers the opportunity to work for a true market leader and established global brand. With progressive training and development this role allows potential promotion in the longer term. With a long established presence on a UK wide scale and a consistent order book this opportunity will appeal to a candidate looking for job security and a technical challenge.

Role Description

  • Covering full project development on site, working to engineering drawings/diagrams for production.
  • Alongside projects, you will be supporting functions for improvements or any development you would feel beneficial from experience.
  • Performing various welding & fabrication tasks on precision parts being supplied into either high-volume environments to one-off specialist parts.
  • Covering full outlook of MIG, TIG and Stick Welding.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years' knowledge of these welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick)
  • High levels of understanding regarding fabrication
  • Ability to foresee any challenges / issues that could arise when covering new projects
  • Being able to support with improved techniques & methods which could process improvement.
