TEMPORARY ROLE TO START IN SEPTEMBER 2024

Our client in the Education sector is seeking an Administrator to provide support the to the Admin team.

The successful candidate will work within the wider administration and attendance teams, under the direction of the Administration Manager and Senior Leadership Team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Offer a courteous reception service, being the first point of contact for visitors and callers, and rapidly responding to enquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy reception area, ensuring the school is presented at its best at all times.
  • Manage the general school email account and day-to-day cover under the direction of the Assistant Head of School (AHOS).
  • Prepare the reception area for the day, ensuring all necessary equipment and information are up-to-date.
  • Handle visitor sign-ins using the Visitor Entry System and maintain records of ID/DBS information.
  • Execute visitor safeguarding procedures and maintain the Single Central Record (SCR).
  • Operate the CCTV system and update presentation screen content.
  • Set up staff manuals, ID cards, and entry fobs for new staff and visitors.
  • Conduct first day calling for pupil absences and maintain attendance records on SIMs.
  • Play a central role in the school attendance team, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.
  • Approve agency staff timesheets and liaise with various school teams regarding pupil information.
  • Utilise the T2P text and email service for communication and administrative tasks.
  • Provide general office skills including photocopying, filing, and managing post.
  • Distribute pupil correspondence and newsletters, and update internal communication boards.
  • Receive deliveries and undertake training to support the administration of the school website.
  • Maintain confidentiality and support the ethos and principles of the school.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent telephone manner and the ability to manage challenging situations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using email, SIMs, and other school-specific systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting the school's ethos.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred.
