National Waterproofing & Concrete Repair Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a National Waterproof & Concrete Repair Project Manager to join our Major Project & Infrastructure team, in the Specialist Markets Division.

What does the role involve?

As National Waterproof & Concrete Repair Project Manager, you will be responsible for the development of business across a number of key and complex construction sectors, in line with the UK Infrastructure growth strategy. You will manage our relationships with targeted existing and any new multi programme businesses engaged in Waterproof and Concrete Repair solutions at major project stage, working closely with the Heads of Sectors, Kestral Technical team internally, as well as the Specialist Markets Divisional Network, key manufacturers and suppliers to offer an industry leading service to Tier1 and National Contractors, Clients, agencies and site teams., working within structured account plans that will ensure the achievement of sector sales and margin budgets.

In this role you will align the Strategy with the development of the Infrastructure Strategy and customer propositions in conjunction with the National Sales Director and manage the processes on new project instructions as well as ongoing maintenance programmes, working with the Divisional Branch network to support.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Working with the National Sales Director - Major Projects & Infrastructure in the development of the UK Major Projects & Infrastructure 3 + year strategy and sales plans
  • The ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Waterproof and Concrete Repair products, in either a sales, technical or design role previously.
  • Achieve margin / sales budgets from the allocated existing and new customer account base.
  • Management of existing & new customers, projects which includes:
  • Create, own and maintain account plans
  • Ensure customers debt is managed within their agreed terms and our credit control policy
  • Develop strong relationships within each account through regular contact at senior and operational levels to establish our position as their 'partner' of choice
  • Develop appropriate 'added value' service & product customer propositions
  • Work with Branches, Operations and other SIG UK functions to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Attend and contribute to the I Major Projects & Infrastructure sales meetings providing updates on performance and plans for Waterproof and Concrete Repair Product sales
  • Keep accurate records of interactions with customers and ongoing initiatives utilising SIG processes and systems to provide visibility of results and a comprehensive account of our overall management of our customers
  • Provide input to the category trading performance review process, provide ongoing input to Market & Sales Strategy. Identify opportunities for new/innovative products
  • Interface with Operations, Inventory teams on regional product priorities, project orders and special requests. Working closely with the relevant sales and hubs staff to manage and monitor delivery of sales to maximise the overall end to end customer experience
  • Support the overall Strategy of the Company with a proactive and structured approach both internally and across the account network
