Are you an immediately available Payroll Officer looking for your next job opportunity? Happy to work in the office full time and fulfil a 35/40-hour working week within a solid Finance Team? Do you already have a valid DBS certificate?
Our client is a leading multi academy Trust, setting incredible standards for education across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an interim Payroll Officer; an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring high standards for an efficient and accurate payroll service across the Federation.
Role: Payroll officer
Location: East London
Role Model: Office based 5 days.
Working Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm or 9am - 5pm
Duration: 3 Months
Hourly Rate: £20 - £22 per hour plus holiday pay accrual
DBS: DBS clearance will be required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:
- Collate & send payroll instructions to payroll provider and check that they are processed correctly
- Prepare the payroll journals for posting into the finance system
- Check & manage the payroll portal
- Resolve any staff queries or refer to HR
- Reconcile monthly payroll to budget, month to month movement, and HR records and investigate any variances
- Complete payroll related returns & queries as required which may include:
- Annual pension return
- Annual benefits in kind return
- Pension queries
- Tax & benefit office queries
