Role Overview: We are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teacher to join our SEN base, which caters to children with a range of needs including autism, ASD, and ADHD. This full-time role is set to begin in September and is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our students by providing specialised and individualised support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, focusing on their specific needs and learning goals.
  • Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and facilitate their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning.
  • Collaborate with mainstream teachers to ensure inclusive practices and smooth integration of SEN students into general education settings.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Proven experience working with children with autism, ASD, ADHD, and other SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and dynamic team.
