Company Overview: Join our commercial building team, a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality replacement UPVC windows and doors. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products and services to our clients, ensuring their projects are completed to the highest standards. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Estimator to join our commercial contracts team.

Role and Responsibilities: As an Estimator within our commercial contracts team, you will play a crucial role in providing detailed costings for tenders and quotations related to PVCu windows, doors, and associated products. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Detailed Costings: Prepare comprehensive and accurate costings for both tenders and quotations, ensuring all specifications and client requirements are met.
  • Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices, maintaining the balance between cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Client Interaction: Manage relationships with clients, main contractors, and material suppliers, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Involvement: Contribute to the overall success of the commercial contracts team by supporting various project phases from inception to completion.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the PVCu windows industry or a background in building materials. This knowledge is essential for accurate estimating and effective communication with suppliers and contractors.
  • Experience: Previous experience in estimating or sales support within a builders merchant environment or a commercial construction contractor. This experience will provide you with the skills needed to excel in this role.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong planning and organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
