Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well established privately owned maintenance provider on a static site by Bank in the City of London.

Our client, who is known for their personable approach and impressive staff retention rate, have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance on a 11 floor commercial site located in the City of London. The Mechanical Engineer will need to be a self motivated individual, being the sole engineer on site, having the ability to identify faults and resolve them.

To be successful in this role you will need to be fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds/ NVQ equivalent) with a minimum of five years experience.

Duties:

  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance.
  • Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), Shutdowns, Motors, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, Water Treatment and BMS Operation.
  • Carry out isolation of plants and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors.
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS.
  • Reports.
  • Permits to work.
  • Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in either Mechanical Engineering - C&G or NVQ or equivalent qualifications.
  • At least 3 years experience prior within commercial maintenance.
  • Polite and personable.
  • Client facing attitude.
  • Apprentice trained - Desirable.

Salary and Benefits:

  • £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
  • Monday - Friday, 8 - 5
