EH & CFS Birth to 19 Support Worker
Join our client, a leading Borough in East London, in the Children's Services industry, as an EH&CFS Birth to 19 Support Worker. As an EH&CFS Birth to 19 Support Worker, you will:
- Identify and prevent early intervention needs to safeguard children, young people, and parents.
- Develop targeted intervention plans to improve social, emotional, health, and educational outcomes for families with children aged 0 to 19.
- Build relationships with key partners in the public and private sectors, ensuring timely support is provided to those in need.
To excel in this role, you should have knowledge of relevant legislation, experience working with vulnerable children and their families, and the ability to work effectively with other professionals to safeguard children.

As an EH&CFS Birth to 19 Support Worker, your main responsibilities will include:
- Early identification and prevention: Identifying and assessing family needs and providing sustained engagement to safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and parents.
- Targeted early help interventions: Developing targeted intervention plans for families with children aged from birth to 19, aimed at improving social, emotional, health, and educational outcomes.
- Partnership working: Building effective relationships with key partners in both the public and private sectors, including schools and early years providers, to ensure appropriate support is provided at the earliest stage.
- Caseload management: Managing a mixed caseload of children and young people, incorporating whole family work and restorative practise approaches.
- Lead professional role: Coordinating cases for children, young people, and their families, and acting as the single point of contact for professionals involved.
- Building trusting relationships and supporting parents/carers: Promoting parent involvement and positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Maintaining accurate records and participating in multi-agency support processes.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, and current issues in the birth to 19 area.
- Experience and expertise working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families, including those with risk issues and challenging behaviours.
- The ability to work effectively with other professionals to safeguard children and young people.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to form and maintain professional relationships and boundaries.
Our client offers an hourly rate ranging from £22.19 to £26.50, with a contract length of 3 months. While driving is not required for this role, a willingness to work outside of contractual hours may be needed on occasion.
