About the Role

Cedar have partnered with a global music entertainment company who are hiring for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join their expanding team.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Solid MS Excel skills and a talent for numbers and analysis is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in financial analysis and control processes, including cash flow forecasting and key release analysis.
  • Support quarterly digital reporting and various projects across the Music division.
  • Enhance department procedures and practices to meet internal control standards.
  • Analyse affiliate financial submissions, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Monitor and report on sales revenue from key digital partners, highlighting variances against targets.
  • Compile and analyse regular cash flow and A&R reports for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Address issues with divisional finance teams as needed.
  • Analyse global physical sales data and improve the sales reporting process.
  • Act as the main point of contact for affiliate queries regarding the global sales system and represent international finance requirements.
  • Maintain the key release system for actual, forecast, and budget submissions, ensuring accurate updates and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, affiliates, and US labels to review release schedules and ensure timely submissions.
  • Monitor key release sales data, address variances, and follow up with territory finance teams on reporting issues.
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests related to financial analysis and reporting.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Working towards professional qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical skills.
  • Analytical thinker with a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage with all levels of staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel.
