Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Compliance Officer to join their business.
Reporting into the Technical Service Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical and Legal Compliance: Support compliance and GMP auditing activities, maintain local systems and procedures for food safety, quality, and legal compliance, including HACCP and Supplier Quality Assurance.
- HACCP Management: Maintain and update the HACCP programme, act as HACCP secretary, and lead site HACCP plan development.
- Bill of Materials and Specifications: Update site Bill of Materials, internal specifications, and customer specification portals.
- Product Traceability: Maintain product withdrawal and traceability, including mass balance exercises.
- KPI Records: Maintain Technical Services KPI records for micro sampling and complaint trending.
- Audit Documentation: Audit and file process control documents, identify areas for improvement, and support gap analysis for continuous improvement.
- BRC Compliance: Ensure compliance with BRC standards, support internal and external audits, and maintain 'A' grade certification.
- Quality Manual: Ensure quality manual policies meet customer and legal requirements, and communicate them effectively throughout the business.
- Internal Audits: Support an internal audit programme covering BRC, customer COP, and local authority inspections.
- Customer Visits: Assist in preparing and conducting key customer visits and completing Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs).
