My client is looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to play a crucial role in overseeing their factory and warehouse operations.
This position involves managing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of dedicated workers. The role also encompasses coordinating and overseeing the warehouse operations to ensure the efficient storage, and dispatch of goods.
Day to Day of the role:
- Overseeing the factory operations, working closely with the Factory Lead Hand to ensure safe production
- Maintain production efficiency and uphold quality standards within the manufacturing facility.
- Manage and lead a team of factory workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Lead Hand to oversee warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory records and workplace safety.
- Lead a team of warehouse personnel, managing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulations to ensure best practices are followed and compliance is maintained.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience of working within a factory and warehouse environment
- Understanding of customer deliverables
- Leadership experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Dynamic, driven, and passionate about the success of the business.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to assign tasks and adapt quickly to environmental changes.
- Excellent communication skills, computer literacy, and numeracy.
- Ability to influence positively and achieve results by adhering to high standards and clear objectives.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, flexibility, and punctuality.
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Health and Safety in the Workplace level 3
- Fire Warden certification
- First Aid in the workplace certification
- Supervisory experience
