Salary: £52,963 to £59,360

Hybrid

Location: Dorking, Surrey

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Lead Category Manager for our Public Sector client.

Key responsibilities for the Lead Category Manager are;

  • Manage individual procurements as a project using appropriate project management principles
  • Liaise with and manage independent contractors, maintaining effective partnership working whenever external procurement resource is required
  • Provide specialist procurement support and advice to budget holders, commissioners and other partners
  • Ensure that procurements are conducted in line with the process required from the standing financial instructions, regional, and national rules
  • Require applying their skills at the level below as per the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework.

The Ideal candidate for the Lead Category Manager will have;

  • A Level 5 Advanced Diploma in CIPS or its equivalent is required.
  • Degree or comparable experience or qualifications in the relevant field
  • A minimum of five years of practical experience in procurement, together with a thorough understanding of category management best practices.
  • A strong track record of effective delivery and relevant experience with regard to Category Services procurement
  • Experience in the public sector or the NHS is necessary, as is knowledge of EU and UK procurement rules.
