Summary of the role

Transfer Agency Technical Consultants need to be experts in mutual funds, relevant laws, and regulations like COLL, COBS, CASS, and HMRC ISA Rules. They train and support onshore and offshore colleagues, Voice Service Centre, and Complaints teams, and assist the LBG Proposition Team with product and regulation changes, continually improving investment processes.

They also provide technical support for projects and help design new or updated products and systems.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide technical help, coaching, and training to Transfer Agency teams both onshore and offshore, including VSC and Complaints teams. Handle complex investment issues.
  • Approve project documents like requirement guides, procedure guides, test scripts, and briefing materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with LBG and key stakeholders. Coordinate technical support for projects and manage relationships with LBG IT and third-party suppliers.
  • Improve investment processes by identifying and fixing issues, suggesting solutions, and providing training based on referral trends.
  • Help design and specify requirements for BaNCS Mutual Funds, ensuring projects meet technical standards and manage risks.
  • Support local and strategic projects, assess their impact on business processes and systems, and participate in migration rehearsals, including testing and verification.
  • Give presentations on BaNCS functionality developments.
  • Support BAT testing by providing product and process expertise, developing test plans, and resolving test team issues. Complete Model Office testing and address any defects.

What we're looking for

  • Must have solid experience in Transfer Agency, with a good grasp of compliance and laws like Box Management, CASS, HMRC ISA regulations, and COBS and COLL rules.
  • Familiar with BaNCS/Diligenta or other core IT systems, and finance/accounting.
  • Strong at writing and speaking, and skilled in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Excellent at spotting details, fact-finding, and making informed judgments from data.
  • Knows how to use different methods to gather business needs and choose the right one for the situation.
  • Good at planning, organizing, and managing your workload effectively.
  • Understands the financial impacts of different requirements and solution options.
