We are seeking an a hands-on Finance Manager who is eager to actively engage in all aspects of financial management, including ledger management, detailed analysis and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgets ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing recommendations to support the company's financial health and growth.

Description

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Management of the purchase ledger and payment runs.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, manage, and monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and funding requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax and audit requirements.
  • Compiling monthly payroll information and collaborating with HR and international payroll bureau on all payroll matters.
  • Compiling and submitting monthly returns to pension provider.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's objectives.
  • Assisting with process improvements when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's assets and ensure business continuity.
  • Systems and Processes: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and standards.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a finance team.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Proactive in addressing hands-on priority tasks when needed.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall direction of the company.
