Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Seacroft area of Leeds as they look to recruit a Management Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Finance support to the company and associated companies
- Working alongside the Financial Controller to deliver a robust set of financial accounts for our clients and group companies
- Managing and mentoring direct reports in the development of their knowledge and skills
- Preparation, review and analysis of accurate and timely management accounts including commentary and bespoke reporting required by clients and stakeholders
- Be one of the primary contacts for external auditors and lead the rest of the team to ensure accurate and timely testing is completed.
- Analyse key variances that drive movements in the financial accounts and make recommendations
- Assist with the preparation of annual client budgets
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Credit Control assistance
- Responsible for creating accounts preparation efficiencies
- Support on ad-hoc tasks and reporting
Person Specification:
- 2 years in a finance background preparing management accounts
- Studying towards a recognised Accountancy qualification
- Attention to detail
- Willing to be flexible and respond to changing circumstances
- Key attributes are an ability to demonstrate a flexible and positive ‘can do' attitude and to become quickly established to add value to the business
- Time management skills
