We are seeking an Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Cheshunt. This is a permanent role starting in September 2024, offering a salary between £30,000 and £45,000. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art and education, with the ability to inspire and engage students in the subject.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring art lessons that foster students' creativity and skills in various art forms.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage their artistic development.
- Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and participate in school events and art exhibitions.
- Stay current with developments in art education and integrate new ideas into the teaching plan.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Art education, such as a degree in Fine Arts or Art & Design.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Art.
- Prior experience teaching Art at the secondary education level is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A passion for art and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
