Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Randstad C&P are actively recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support our top FM client.

  • Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • Location: Newcastle to Darlington - NEFRA - North East Fire and Rescue Authority
  • 40 hours per week. Core hours Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5pm, plus on-call shift on rota basis (additional payment applicable)
  • Contract: Full time, permanent
  • Salary: upto £35,500 per annum with company van and fuel card
  • On call rota: 1 in 4 week covering 24 hours. Working 9:45am to 6pm when on call - standby payment plus relevant hourly rate

Main Duties:

  • Ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and Redcar and Cleveland Council.
  • Undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work either independently or as assistant to a maintenance tradesperson on:
  1. Service and repair of lighting and power distribution systems.
  2. Reactive repairs to all types of lighting systems and power distribution systems.
  3. Service and repair of motors and pumps.
  4. Competent on BMS control systems and PAT tester
  • Undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the Client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group

Candidate Qualifications/Experience:

  • Qualified Electrician with reasonable experience in a maintenance role within a commercial setting.
  • City & Guilds or equivalent
  • 18th Edition City and Guilds
  • You will have experience in electrical power distribution systems, and preferred experience in electrical testing.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence required.
  • The successful candidate will require a DBS Check before starting in the job.
