Yolk Recruitment is excited to be working with a globally renowned manufacturer that is embarking on high-value contracts. We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their thriving team and provide engineering expertise during this exciting period of growth and new projects.
This is what you'll be doing
- Overseeing and improving production methods to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Creating and maintaining detailed process instructions to ensure smooth workflow.
- Analyzing production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Develop and update work instructions to ensure best practices are followed.
- Identify areas for improvement in production methods and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support research and development initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety and quality audits to maintain high production standards.
This is what you'll need
- Proven background as a Production or Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project management.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
