The Role:

As an Assistant Head Gardener, you will oversee maintenance of extensive estate gardens, reporting to the Head Gardener.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining 40-acre garden and glasshouses.
  • Supervise garden team in various tasks including topiary and formal hedge upkeep.
  • Collaborate with Head Gardener to ensure high standards across estate.

Requirements:

  • Previously worked as a Gardener or in a similar role.
  • Possess horticultural qualification and post-qualification experience.
  • Understanding of plant species, care requirements, and maintenance strategies.
  • Competent in using gardening hand tools and power equipment
  • Must reside nearby to the job location.
